Dr. Gloria Micó, Facility Manager for UPVfab shared “UPVfab is carrying out process development to establish a manufacturing technology platform. The top-down design flow enabled by OptoCompiler will be key to allow lean access to fabrication, by incorporating our new process design kits to this tool”. The interest in OptoCompiler stems from Synopsys presentations in recent events, such as PIC International. “We have been educating our teams and grade / master /doctoral students following a bottom-up approach, from technology, through basic building block design, up to circuit level. The new tool by Synopsys links schematics, with circuits and layouts, mimicking the flow established in micro-electronics design”, said Prof. Pascual Muñoz, Director for UPVfab.
“I like to thank UPVfab for hosting this training event and the participants from our customers and partners in Spain for a their positive feed-back on the OptoCompiler design cockpit and worfkflow”, says Twan Korthorst, Group Director Photonic Solutions at Synopsys.
